Software

Software is a set of instructions, programs or data that tells a computer how to perform specific tasks. It can be categorized into system software (like operating systems), application software (like word processors), and utility software. Software enables hardware functionality and powers everything from basic operations to complex applications.

How to get correct image coordinates from mouse click in Cornerstone.js?

I’m developing an Angular-based DICOM viewer using Cornerstone.js and I need to map mouse click positions to image-space coordinates i.e., the true pixel coordinates within the original DICOM image.

Currently, the coordinates I get change when zooming or panning, which means I’m likely mixing up screen/client coordinates with Cornerstone’s internal viewport transforms.

Coding Problems
Coding problems are exercises designed to test a programmer’s ability to write logic, solve challenges and apply algorithms or data structures. They help improve problem-solving skills, logical thinking and coding efficiency. Common in interviews and competitive programming, coding problems range from simple tasks to complex algorithmic challenges, preparing developers for real-world software development scenarios.
Interview Preparation
Interview Preparation is the process of getting ready to perform confidently and effectively in a job interview. It includes researching the company, understanding the job role, practicing common interview questions, improving communication skills and reviewing technical or domain knowledge. Proper interview preparation increases confidence, reduces anxiety, and improves your chances of securing the job.
Coding Interview
Coding Interview is a technical evaluation where candidates solve programming problems to demonstrate their problem-solving skills, data structure and algorithm knowledge and coding proficiency. It typically includes writing optimized code, explaining logic and analyzing time and space complexity to assess real-world programming ability.
AI
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is the simulation of human intelligence in machines, enabling them to think, learn and make decisions. It powers systems to solve problems, recognize patterns, understand language and adapt over time. AI is used in various fields, including robotics, healthcare, finance and everyday applications like virtual assistants.
DSA
DSA (Data Structures and Algorithms) is a fundamental concept in computer science that focuses on efficiently storing, organizing and processing data. Data structures like arrays, linked lists, stacks and trees manage data, while algorithms provide step-by-step solutions to problems. Mastering DSA is essential for writing optimized, scalable and high-performance code.
Query
In databases, a query is a request to retrieve, insert, update or delete data. Written in SQL (Structured Query Language), queries can be simple, like fetching all rows from a table, or complex, involving joins, conditions and aggregations. They are essential for interacting with and managing database information efficiently.
Sorting
Sorting is the process of arranging data in a specific order, typically ascending or descending. It helps improve search efficiency, data organization and overall algorithm performance. Common sorting algorithms include Bubble Sort, Merge Sort, Quick Sort and Insertion Sort. Sorting is widely used in databases, applications and system processes to manage and analyze information effectively.
Technical Interview
Technical Interview is a structured assessment where employers evaluate a candidate’s technical skills, problem-solving ability and practical knowledge related to a specific role. It typically includes coding challenges, system design questions, debugging tasks and discussions about past projects. The goal of a technical interview is to measure how effectively a candidate can apply their technical expertise to solve real-world problems.
Software Design
Software design is the process of planning and structuring a software system’s architecture, components, interfaces, and data flow to meet functional and non-functional requirements. It ensures scalability, maintainability and performance. Key approaches include modular design, object-oriented design and architectural patterns like MVC and microservices for efficient, reliable software development.
Database
A database is an organized collection of data. It is the collection of schemas, tables, queries, reports, views, and other objects. The data are typically organized to model aspects of reality in a way that supports processes requiring information. Use this tag if you have questions about designing a database.
